Week 3,  05/25/2023

Discussion: 

  • Lectured the project ideas must requirements in detail.

  • Discussed regarding  functionality, project cost, and target product for audience/industry. 

  • Professor suggested the project shall contain at least 60% electrical and computer-related content to be approved. 

  • Proposal ideas were discussed and minimized the six ideas to four.

Action Plan:

  • Research on CNC parts and their operation.

  • Research on stepper motors and drivers.

  • Determine the programming language use.

  • Study Raspberry pi and PLC.

  • Create a block diagram for CNC machine.

  • Perform more research on CNC and Sort proposals.

Week 2,  05/18/2023

Discussion: 

  • Reviewed on all brains proposed project ideas and decided to work on eight ideas.

  • Reviewed the previous students' proposal projected ideas.

  • Discussed each  design ideas and began working in detail.

  • We further discussed on the  eight ideas;  based on SMART principle.

  • Sorted six possible ideas.

Action Plan: 

  • Research on CNC machine and Sorting machine.

  • Discuss the six proposed ideas in depth.

  • Select from 2-4 proposed ideas.

  • Worked on the website updating.

  • Choose the web font size.

  • Worked on the website back ground and font colors.

Week 1,  05/09/2023

Discussion: 

  • As a team, we held the first virtual meeting with Professor. 

  • Introduction and overview of the syllabus.

  • Professor explained the requirements for the proposed design project.

  • Participating in the Leadership Form.

  • We discussed what to expect from each of us to create a successful project.

  • How to brainstorm project ideas, block diagrams, and presentation methods.

  • Begin working on the website.

  • Setting up dates and times for weekly meetings. 

Action Plan:

  • Brain storm  and come up with 6-8 workable proposal ideas.

  • Participate in leadership Forum.

  • Create block and flow diagrams for the proposed ideas.

  • Perform research on  proposed ideas.

  • Create a website.

Prior:

  • Begin discussing working as a team.

  • Dialogue about each of our interests and what we can contribute to the project.

  • Consulted the Senior Design project students regarding the project process.

  • Then, we discussed how we could work on the senior Design project. Finally, we informed our advisor that we were interested in working together; she teams us up for Summer 2023.
